Design based on the Pre-Removal Beaded Sash by Maker Once Known. The sash primarily consists of a navy trade cloth background with narrow strips of red trade cloth appliqué, and is beaded with white beads in the Cherokee Baldric (or Baldricks) style. The beaded stitch present on the sash is unique to Southeastern Woodland tribal nations, including the Cherokee. This sash is currently housed in the Museum of the Cherokee People’s permanent object collection.
